Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) RN – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Wisconsin

Schedule: Evening/Night shifts, 12-hour shifts (1900-0730), with every other weekend rotation and some holidays. No call required. Patient ratio 2-3 patients per nurse.

• 27-bed Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic ICU specializing in cardiac surgery, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical patients
• Dynamic acuity-adaptable unit with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Experience required with NextStage CVVH machine and advanced cardiac equipment including IABP, Impella, LVAD, and ECMO
• Epic charting system with 24 hours of orientation provided
• Magnet-designated facility ranked as Wisconsin's top hospital and nationally recognized teaching institution
• Two approved time-off periods available during assignment

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Wisconsin or compact state)
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in specialty
• CVICU experience required; Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area experience preferred
• Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Must successfully pass telemetry examination prior to start with strict passing criteria (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Willingness to float as needed within the facility
