Director of Clinical Quality and Resident Care (RN license required) Job Category: Administration Requisition Number: DIREC001575 Apply now Posted: July 20, 2026 Full-Time On-site Locations Showing 1 location Rogerson Communities Boston, MA 02131, USA Description TITLE: Director of Clinical Quality and Resident Care SUPERVISOR: Director of Senior Living STATUS: Full-time, exempt Compensation: $135,000- $150,000/annually DOE Summary of Responsibilities Reporting to Rogerson’s Director of Senior Living, The Director of Clinical Quality and Resident Care provides clinical leadership across Rogerson’s senior living and adult day health programs. This position promotes and integrates the mission and philosophy of Rogerson by supporting excellence in Resident Care, Memory Care, Adult Day Health, Quality Improvement, and Operational best practices. The director partners with Executive Directors, Directors of Nursing, and clinical leaders to ensure exceptional resident care, strengthen resident care practice, standardize operations, support regulatory readiness, and drive continuous quality improvement. The Director leads organizational initiatives related to quality, risk management, policy development, and resident care systems while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and resident-centered care. The Director serves as the organization’s clinical care leader ensuring high quality, resident centered and family focused care across programs while promoting operational excellence. The Director serves as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, oversees risk management, and leads continuous quality improvement efforts to support Rogerson’s mission and values. Clinical Leadership Provide clinical leadership across all senior living and adult day health programs, ensuring that resident and participant care adheres to established standards of practice and regulatory requirements. Partners with Executive Directors, Directors of Nursing, Nurse Managers, and Clinical Care Coordinator to promote clinical excellence, operational consistency, and high-quality resident outcomes. Ensure comprehensive, individualized care plans are developed and implemented for all residents and participants. Oversee clinical practices, including medication management, infection prevention and control, clinical documentation, and resident safety across all programs. Establish, monitor, and analyze clinical quality indicators and outcome measures to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Serve as a clinical resource to executive leadership on resident care, clinical operations, healthcare trends, and best practices for Resident Care, Memory Care, and Adult Day Health programs. Partner with Director of Senior Living and Executive Directors to develop and implement organizational clinical initiatives that support quality outcomes, operational excellence, and Rogerson’s strategic priorities. Quality Improvement & Regulatory Excellence Lead Rogerson’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program, promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement across all senior living communities and Adult Day Health. Ensure organizational compliance with all applicable Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH), Executive Office of Aging & Independence (AGE), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and other regulatory bodies. Develop and maintain systems to monitor quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and organizational performance across multiple communities and service lines. Conduct routine clinical and operational reviews, internal audits and regulatory readiness assessments; ensuring timely follow-up and corrective action. Coordinate and support state surveys, licensing visits and licensure renewals. Monitor changes in federal, state, and industry regulations and collaborate with organizational leadership to implement necessary operational and clinical changes. Analyze quality metrics, clinical data, and regulatory findings to identify trends, measurement performance, and implement evidence-based improvement initiatives. Facilitate regular Quality and Clinical Leadership meetings to review performance indicators, share best practices and promote accountability across communities. Collaborate with Executive Directors and clinical leaders to develop and monitor performance and promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and person-centered care. Clinical Operations Develop, maintain, and standardize clinical policies and procedures, ensuring documents remain current and centrally managed. Review and revise policies and procedures in response to regulatory changes, operational needs, and industry best practices. Support the development and implementation of standardized clinical workflows that promote consistency and efficiency across communities. Partner with leaders to support the implementation of electronic health records (EHR) and ongoing utilization. Identify opportunities to improve clinical processes, documentation, and operational efficiency across programs. Collaborate with community leadership on clinical initiatives that enhance resident care and organizational effectiveness. Leadership Development and Education Oversee the development and delivery of clinical, regulatory, and leadership education. Ensure all employees maintain required credentials, licensure, and annual training. Ensure competency assessments and in-service education align with clinical and compliance standards. Support onboarding, development, and mentoring of Directors of Nursing and other clinical leaders. Promote a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement. Risk Management and Incident Oversight Lead incident review, reporting, and investigation processes in accordance with DPH and AGE regulations. Collaborate with leadership on corrective action plans and communication protocols. Develop proactive risk management strategies to ensure participant and resident safety. Monitor incident trends and collaborate with community leadership to identify opportunities to reduce clinical risk and improve resident safety. Identify and execute needed collaborations to enhance communities' service provision with regional and corporate operations teams. Ensure residents and families are educated about residents' rights. Create and maintain a warm professional environment. Assure that all associates are fully informed on the answers to the most frequently asked questions by residents, families, and prospective families. Facilitate regularly scheduled meetings with department heads and associates. Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to relate in a positive and professional way to a diverse resident and associate population. Qualifications Education & Licensure Registered Nurse (RN) required; bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field required. Master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related discipline preferred. Current RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Experience Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, senior living, or community health settings. Demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance and clinical operations for both residential and community-based programs. Experience with DPH, AGE, CMS, and Medicaid/Medicare compliance standards. Proven success leading quality improvement and clinical risk management initiatives. Strong understanding of clinical best practices in geriatric and adult care. Excellent knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance frameworks. Effective leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities. Commitment to ethical standards and the mission of a non-profit organization. Ability to travel between locations.
