Patient Services Coordinator I MRI

IBJI is looking for a professional, flexible, and positive Patient Services Coordinator to join our MRI Office team at Chicago – Avondale MRI. Candidates should have a proven track record of excellent customer service and a positive team‑work attitude. Shift Requirements Open (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) or Close (11:30 AM – 8:00 PM) shifts; rotating Saturdays (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM). Responsibilities Welcome patients and visitors, delivering high‑quality customer service Prepare paperwork and facilitate efficient operations Respond to general inquiries, appointment scheduling, and phone reception Perform patient triage and escalation to appropriate staff Complete registration and pre‑registration, reviewing demographics and insurance Check‑in and check‑out procedures, patient chart management Collect and post patient responsibility payments (copays, deductibles) Verify insurance and manage referrals as required Maintain a clean and safe work environment Carry out other office duties as assigned Qualifications High‑school diploma or equivalent (required) Minimum one year of customer‑service experience (medical office preferred) Experience with Electronic Health Record systems (Epic preferred) Bilingual Spanish preferred; knowledge of medical terminology preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle confidential information, high‑volume scheduling, and a fast‑paced environment Team player with a professional appearance Results oriented and willing to complete ongoing training Benefits Competitive compensation package including health, life, dental, and vision insurance; generous paid time off; 401(k) with company match; profit sharing; employee assistance program; disability coverage; and more.
