Job Details

The Plumbing Design Engineer will support the design and development of plumbing systems for residential and commercial building projects. The role will work within a multidisciplinary engineering environment to produce coordinated plumbing designs and construction documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Design domestic cold and hot water systems
• Develop sanitary and storm-water drainage systems
• Design natural gas and LP gas piping systems
• Support hot-water and boiler system design
• Prepare plumbing plans, calculations, details, and construction documents
• Coordinate plumbing systems with architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, and fire protection disciplines
• Review designs for applicable plumbing and building-code requirements
• Support projects through design development and construction documentation

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Professional experience designing plumbing systems for buildings
• Experience producing plumbing construction documents
• Working knowledge of plumbing codes and building-system coordination
• Experience with domestic water and sanitary drainage design
• Ability to coordinate designs within a multidisciplinary MEP environment
• Revit and/or AutoCAD experience preferred pending client confirmation
• Engineering degree, PE/EIT status, and exact experience requirements to be confirmed
