Asset Manager (for multiple asset portfolio)

General Job Summary The Asset Manager will be responsible for operational and financial oversight, maximizing return, and identifying opportunities for improved performance. Responsibilities, including but not limited to: Overseeing and monitoring the performance of our portfolio of multifamily properties held throughout the State of Texas Drive value creation through direct oversight of property operations, leasing and capital deployment Review and analyze property financials and keep informed of market dynamics and key factors affecting current and future asset performance Develop asset management reports and prepare updates for senior management and investors Manage cash flow and investment projections Oversee annual budgeting process Work with management companies to implement action plans, marketing plans and annual business plans Conduct periodic site visits to review physical condition and compliance standards, including frequent out of town travel. Develop and foster strong relationships and effective lines of communication with property management companies and investor asset managers Qualifications Prior hands-on property or asset management experience Prior experience managing a multi-asset portfolio 5+ years in multi-family industry Experience with both market rate and affordable properties preferred Experience with Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program preferred Strong modeling and analytical skills, including regular use of Excel and MS Office programs Acute attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong organizational skills Outstanding written and verbal communication Self-starter, able to work independently or in a team environment Demonstrated flexibility to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Additional Expectations Report to work at assigned time Possesses the ability to work efficiently and effectively with all employees, in their presence and in their absence, in addition to working efficiently and effectively with all other clients and external individuals Make a concerted effort to learn and apply knowledge and skills from the work and the individuals with whom they work; ability to actively seek and apply feedback and new skills on the job Ability to consistently deliver results with limited supervision and assist with providing direction to and resolving problems among subcontractors and vendors Able to research, analyze, identify viable options, draw sound conclusions, present findings and make thoughtful recommendations considering overall risk and short-term/long-term impacts Understands company guidelines and demonstrates knowledge of organizational tools, common practices, policies and procedures Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities and exhibits objectivity and openness to others’ views Treats others with respect and approaches others in a tactful manner and reacts well under pressure EEO Statement Employees of Versa Development, LLC are protected by federal laws, Presidential Executive Orders, and other laws designed to protect employees from discrimination on the basis of race, religion, color, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), sexual orientation, parental status, national origin, age, disability, family medical history or genetic information, political affiliation, military service, or any other non-merit-based factor.
