- 12‐hour day shifts 7am ‐ 7pm with night call 7pm ‐ 7am
- Average 20 patient encounters per shift with 4 admissions
- 30‐minute call response time ‐‐ beeper call
- 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
- Assigned patient rounding responsibilities
- Average 4 phone consultations per shift
