Back End Developer

Salary: $56,000 - 56,000 per year Requirements:

• We have 5–9 years of experience in backend development.
• We have strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+ and the Spring Boot ecosystem, including Spring Data, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud.
• We have proven experience designing microservices architectures, including service decomposition, API design with REST or gRPC, inter-service communication, and resilience patterns such as circuit breakers, retries, and timeouts.
• We have solid experience deploying and operating applications on Google Cloud Platform, including GKE/Kubernetes, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, IAM, and load balancing.
• We have experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• We have a strong understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including query optimization and schema design.
• We have experience with message queues or event streaming technologies such as Pub/Sub, Kafka, or RabbitMQ for asynchronous and real-time processing.
• We are familiar with CI/CD pipelines such as Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions, and infrastructure as code, with Terraform preferred.
• We have a solid grasp of API security, authentication and authorization, including OAuth2 and JWT, and secure service-to-service communication.
• We have experience writing unit, integration, and contract tests, with comfort using TDD or BDD practices.
• We have a strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, including consistency, idempotency, fault tolerance, and scalability.
• We have excellent debugging, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting skills.
• We hold a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a masters degree is a plus but not required.

• We design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• We build and enhance services that support core EV charging workflows, including charge session management, station status and availability, billing and tariff calculation, and CDR processing.
• We architect microservices with clear domain boundaries, well-defined APIs, and resilient inter-service communication through REST, gRPC, or messaging queues.
• We design and implement event-driven architectures using tools such as Pub/Sub or Kafka for real-time data flows like charger telemetry and session updates.
• We deploy, manage, and optimize services on Google Cloud Platform, including GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage.
• We collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to translate OCPP and OCPI integration needs, as well as CPO and eMSP data flows, into technical designs.
• We ensure high availability and low-latency processing for real-time charger communication and transactional data.
• We write clean, well-tested, maintainable code following best practices, including unit and integration testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• We implement observability through logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting using tools such as Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, or Stackdriver.
• We design and manage relational and NoSQL data models, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Firestore, and BigQuery, to support high-throughput transactional workloads.
• We participate in architecture reviews, capacity planning, and performance tuning for services handling high concurrent charger and session loads.
• We mentor junior developers, contribute to coding standards, and promote engineering best practices across the team.
• We troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including protocol-level OCPP and OCPI integration failures, with strong ownership.
