Employee turnover is low because of a high level of engagement and career fulfillment.The position offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, performance bonus, equity consideration, excellent medical, and retirement plans.This position is also available in our Menlo Park office.Position SummaryThe primary responsibility of the Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager ("SVP PM") is to manage client portfolios consisting of equities, fixed income, cash and alternative assets within established investment guidelines. The SVP, PM will communicate regularly with and make presentations to clients, prospects, and referral sources. The SVP, PM is also expected to significantly participate in and contribute to the firm's growth through business development and wider strategical efforts.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage portfolios to achieve client objectivesMake and implement investment decisionsMaintain asset allocations within client guidelines and department policiesParticipate in weekly and monthly investment meetings and communicate regularly with others in the Investment DepartmentMeet with clients on a regular basisCommunicate with and make presentations to clients, prospects and referral sourcesParticipate in Business Development initiatives to achieve established goals for new revenuesWork with Client Administrators on shared accountsDesired Skills/ExperienceBachelor's degree from an accredited universityMBA from a good business school and CFA designation10+ years of Portfolio Management and staff experience overseeing diversified global portfolios of equities, bonds and cashStrong investment research experienceInvestment experience with alternative assets a plusStrong communication, client relationship and business development skills as well as an entrepreneurial spiritSuperior ability to identify and build relationships with qualified prospectsPersonal CharacteristicsStrong people skillsClient service focusEffective verbal and written communication skillsHigh integrity with a diligent work ethicTeam/people orientedHighly organized with good time management skillsMeticulous attention to detailValid driver's license and the ability to travel by airplaneCompensation A competitive base salary, performance bonus, and benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life, long term disability, and 401(k) with company match.
