We encourage our team members to grow and learn, and offer many opportunities for personal and career development.ResponsibilitiesOversee and guide guest's complete restaurant experienceProvide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, and energetic service at all timesMaintain full menu knowledge for both food and beverage items, including all allergen informationAdhere to all company service standards and protocolsUtilize the POS system correctly for order entry and payment processingEnsure proper table maintenance, including water service, pre-bussing, etc.Stock and prepare service related itemsRun food from kitchen to tablesPerform tableside service should it applyMaintain professional and warm guest communicationsRecognize key people in the industry, VIP guests and contacts related to the company and follow company protocol related to their visitCommunicate respectfully and clearly with service team and managementSupport team members in the completion of their duties to ensure satisfaction of all guest before, during, and after serviceEngage management for any escalated guest situationsAdhere to Momofuku's Cleaning and sanitation SOPsAdditional service and/or operational tasks as determined by managerAdhere to grooming and dress code standardsAssist teammates to anticipate all other FOH needsHandle a high-volume sectionPerform service quickly and efficiently without compromising the guest experienceComplete all assigned opening and closing dutiesMaintain current menu knowledge and up to date on any menu or beverage updatesSpeak and answer questions at pre-service from the Managers and ChefsPerform well on any quizzing or testing provided by Restaurant LeadershipRequired QualificationsA positive and enthusiastic attitude, as well as a desire to learn, grow, and develop new skillsMinimum 2 years in an upscale, fast paced, high volume restaurantExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain calm under pressure and resolve guest conflictWilling to accept guidance in a positive manner and implement the direction in a way that is productive for both you and the teamAble to work in a standing/walking position for long periods of timeAvailable to work nights, holidays and long days as necessaryAbility to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environmentStrong salesmanship skillsPreferred Qualifications2+ years of experience as a Server, Captain, or related role in a restaurant with a comparable service style and/or cuisine.Ability to train new Servers in all aspects and responsibilities of the roleA proven track record of dependability and a continuous focus on learning and developmentPhysical DemandsThe physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, sitting, standing, for 10 to 12 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
