Description:
This is a great opportunity to join the team.
As an MRI Technician, you will be part of expanding services.
You will have the ability to work with state-of-the-art equipment.
The role involves working in a 2-tech team model and receiving training on multi-vendor platforms.
The division operates 7 days a week from 5:30 AM to 11:00 PM.


You will safely perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies using a magnetic resonance imaging system.
The scope includes preparing patients, positioning them, setting imaging parameters, acquiring images, and performing computer processing.
You will select appropriate imaging protocols for patient studies and perform quality assurance scans as required.
This role requires the ability to work cohesively as a team member within the MRI Department.
You will consult with appropriate content experts as needed.


Staff must demonstrate the ability to rotate to MRI scanners across the assigned department as needed.
You will confirm patient identity and exam orders as per guidelines.
Demonstration of skills in preparing patients, positioning for exams, setting imaging parameters, performing computer processing, and displaying images is essential.
Competence in performing routine outpatient exams with and without contrast is necessary.
You must optimize scan parameters based on patient condition to maintain diagnostic quality.
Management of MRI safety components for all exams and participation in clinical care coordination is crucial.
You may need to insert IV catheters and perform intravenous injections of MR contrast agents, including the use of MR compatible power injectors.
Communication about possible contraindications and monitoring for adverse reactions to MR contrast agents is required.
All information regarding contrast injections must be accurately recorded in the electronic medical record.
You will execute point-of-care testing where applicable.


Instructing patients and visitors on MRI safety procedures is part of the job.
Ensuring adherence to safety policies by all individuals entering the MRI area is vital.
You will serve as a final checkpoint for patient safety and protocol clarification before scanning.
Identifying hazardous system malfunctions and securing the area during emergency situations is essential.


Scheduled quality control procedures on the MRI scanner and other related equipment must be performed.
You will document quality assurance results as required and report any potential equipment-related problems.
Assisting other department staff with various duties as necessary, such as scheduling and transporting patients, is expected.
