Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming full school year, just outside the vibrant Chapel Hill area. This role offers three distinct full-time placements: one each within an elementary school, a middle school, and a position serving a varied population primarily comprised of elementary-aged students. Each opportunity is tailored to suit your professional preference with flexible caseloads across K-12 age groups.

Your skills will directly impact students’ development, helping them meet their communication goals while collaborating with educators, families, and support staff. This school-based role provides stability from late August through early June, aligning with school staff return dates so you’ll be fully integrated for the start of the academic year.

Qualifications:

• Active license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in North Carolina
• Current teacher certification
• Completion of SLP CCC or eligibility for CFY strongly preferred
• Previous experience in educational settings is a plus, but dedicated new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with students, staff, and parents

What you’ll do:

• Deliver speech and language therapy to assigned caseloads across elementary and/or middle school settings
• Conduct evaluations and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement speech/language goals within the classroom context
• Provide direct and consultative services, adapting strategies to best support student progress
• Maintain all required documentation and participate in team meetings
