Sr. Accountant

DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support a range of accounting and finance initiatives in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, strengthen core accounting operations, and work across diverse client environments. The ideal candidate brings solid close-process experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to adapt quickly while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.Responsibilities:• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial results.• Prepare, review, and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.• Perform detailed reconciliations for bank accounts and balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving variances promptly.• Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with the delivery of accurate financial statements.• Contribute to day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll support as needed.• Partner with stakeholders on special accounting assignments and other ad hoc financial projects.• Analyze accounting data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.• Utilize accounting systems and advanced spreadsheet tools to manage financial information efficiently across engagements.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience in a detail-oriented finance environment.• Demonstrated experience managing month-end close and related accounting activities.• Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and other advanced functions.• Experience supporting full-cycle accounting processes, including AP, AR, and journal entry preparation.• Familiarity with large-scale ERP platforms such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, or PeopleSoft is preferred.Job typePerm
