Vice President, Lead Site Reliability Engineer (Infrastructure)

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in site reliability engineering, with at least 5 years of applied experience
• Experience developing distributed systems, platform services, APIs, automation frameworks, and cloud-native applications
• Strong SRE expertise, including monitoring, telemetry, incident management, production readiness, and observability tools such as Dynatrace and Grafana
• Deep knowledge of one or more infrastructure areas, such as networking, storage, deployment, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessment
• Strong understanding of enterprise data protection, backup and recovery, cyber resilience, immutable storage, retention policies, and recovery testing
• Advanced AWS experience with backup services, identity and access management, security controls, observability, and infrastructure automation
• Proficiency in Python and at least one additional language, such as Java, Go, or C#
• Experience applying enterprise-authorized AI to infrastructure engineering workflows, with careful validation and awareness of data sensitivity
• Ability to assess AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalate uncertainty, and ensure alignment with resilience, security, and auditability standards
• Ability to lead complex initiatives across organizations and turn security, control, and regulatory requirements into engineered solutions
• Preferred: Experience with enterprise backup platforms such as Cohesity or Commvault, and cloud-native services such as AWS Backup
• Preferred: Production experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Preferred: Exposure to database platforms and cyber-recovery solutions in regulated financial services
• Preferred: Experience with operational analytics and data-driven infrastructure health and compliance reporting

• Build and operate distributed systems, platform services, APIs, automation frameworks, and cloud-native applications supporting enterprise backup and recovery
• Apply SRE practices through reliability metrics, observability, incident learning, operational readiness reviews, and continuous improvement
• Lead the architecture and engineering of scalable backup, recovery, immutable-data protection, and recovery-assurance services across hybrid and cloud environments
• Advance automation-first, API-led, and self-service capabilities to reduce operational effort and improve outcomes for customers and stakeholders
• Develop cloud-native solutions with AWS, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices
• Design preventive and detective security controls, policy guardrails, automated validation, and audit-ready evidence to meet regulatory and compliance needs
• Use enterprise-authorized AI to support infrastructure analysis and design documentation, validating outputs and handling operational data according to its sensitivity and security requirements
• Deliver telemetry, reporting, and operational insights that show backup health, compliance posture, and recovery readiness in real time
• Mentor engineers, influence senior stakeholders, and coordinate cross-team delivery with clear ownership and dependency management
