Job Description
Level III NICU Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This position requires a Night 3x12-Hour shift from 19:00 to 07:00. Weekend shifts are required with 6 shifts in a 6-week period, and scheduling is self-managed.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Level III NICU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to neonates in our Level IV unit. The ideal candidate will float between units as required and possess a strong understanding of neonatal care practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide care to neonates, ensuring comprehensive and high-quality clinical services.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and safety.
• Conduct assessments and document findings accurately in the Epic charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and engage in patient/family education.
• Support breastfeeding and handle breast milk appropriately.
• Maintain effective communication with healthcare team members to facilitate optimal care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience, with preference given to those with Level III NICU experience.
• Current state RN license (compact license preferred).
• Certifications: BLS and NRP required.
• Experience with a variety of neonatal interventions and procedures.
