Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department travel assignment in Fort Defiance, Arizona. Start date 10/11/2026 for 16 weeks. Earn $2,470 to $2,562 per week with 36 guaranteed hours, on a 3x12 Flex shift in a short-term acute care hospital setting. The ED role rotates across multiple areas and may require flexibility to cover day shifts and other shifts as needed.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department across multiple areas (Main ED, Fast Track, Observation) with regular rotation.
- Perform triage, initial patient assessment, ongoing monitoring, and timely escalation of changes in patient condition per ER protocols.
- Administer medications, initiate IVs, assist with procedures, and manage patient safety and comfort in a high-volume ED.
- Support Covid-related tasks as needed, including testing and immunization clinics, in collaboration with the care team.
- Collaborate with physicians, social work, and ancillary staff to coordinate triage, treatment, discharge planning, and patient education.
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record and contribute to a safe, organized patient flow and efficient bed management.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Arizona
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ER RN experience
- Certifications: American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and conscious sedation (conscious sedation certification obtained through facility after confirmation with a $105 fee)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED with rotating areas and to float to other departments as needed
- Availability to work 12-hour day shifts (0700-1900) with flexibility to cover other shifts as required
