Cytopathologist with General Surgical Sign-out – Schaumburg, ILPay Range: $300,000 - $380,000 annuallyOur laboratory located in Schaumburg, IL (a suburb of Chicago) is looking to add a Cytopathologist to their team of 8+ Pathologists. We are seeking a candidate that is AP/CP board certified with significant experience in Cytopathology. We are an industry leader and in this role, you will join a great team of professionals with an outstanding support staff.ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostic interpretation of biopsy and/or cytology materialDiagnosis to include gross and microscopic evaluation, dictation, and electronic release of reviewed casesParticipate as an active medical member of the department with substantial diagnostic case responsibilitiesParticipate in client visits, peer consults, and continuing educationInteract with ordering physicians who request to speak with a pathologistProvide expertise and help to technologists and technicians to resolve problemsParticipate in departmental professional Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities, e. g. Pathologist Competency Assessment ProgramMedical directorship opportunities are availableQualificationsMust be US board certified in AP/CPMust have completed a cytopathology fellowship, or have significant cytopathology experienceStrong customer focus and understanding of laboratory operationsAbility to communicate with high level decision makers in the organizationSchaumburg, IL offers a great blend of suburban feel and city convenience.
