Director, Product Innovation Management

Director position within Cepheid's product innovation management function, responsible for translating customer needs into product roadmaps and leading new product development initiatives. Reports to Senior Director and based in Sunnyvale, California as an on-site role.

Responsibilities

Develop business cases for new products and define market requirements and product specifications
Represent customer and business needs on NPD core teams and lead monthly Product Planning Group meetings
Lead cross-functional new product development teams through pre-concept and development cycles
Build relationships with stakeholders including Project Management, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Clinical Affairs

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business or life sciences with 12+ years medical/diagnostic industry experience
Master's degree with 8+ years relevant experience, or Doctoral degree with 5+ years
Demonstrated ability to translate clinical value into marketing messages across multiple healthcare segments
Excellent presentation and multitasking skills across diverse products and disease areas
Infectious Disease testing marketplace knowledge highly desired
Product Management experience in Medical Device and Diagnostics industry preferred
Next-generation sequencing knowledge preferred

Compensation: $95,000-$215,000 base, plus bonus/incentive pay
