General Sales Manager

PAUSE STUDIO - Sales Manager | Full-Time | Long Beach, CA Pause Studio is hiring a Sales Manager for their Long Beach location. This is a hands-on, revenue-focused role for someone who thrives on driving sales, building client relationships, and growing membership. Guest flow at this studio is already strong. What's missing is a sales leader who can convert that interest into memberships and turn the studio into the go-to recovery spot in Long Beach. YOU WILL THRIVE AT PAUSE. Pause is a modern recovery brand offering science-backed wellness services, including flotation therapy, infrared sauna, cold plunge, cryotherapy, IV therapy, and more. Operations and sales are two completely separate roles here. This is a customer-facing, sales-focused role that works directly with the studio owner day to day. If you have a strong sales instinct, a passion for wellness, and the ability to coach a team with both accountability and warmth, this role was built for you. For someone ambitious, this is also a launchpad. Strong performers here have a path to additional locations or into corporate roles. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Convert client conversations into memberships and service packages Coach the sales team so they can run these conversations themselves Build and manage relationships with local partners (boutique fitness studios, medical offices) to drive team-building and group business Plan and run community pop-up events and outreach Set and track team and individual sales goals Build and manage outbound call lists and follow-up campaigns for the team Personally build relationships with new members, including outreach to anyone who hasn't been met in person yet Review performance against membership sales, revenue, and service mix targets, and adjust strategy as needed Additional duties as assigned CORE REQUIREMENTS 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in health, wellness, fitness, or hospitality Proven ability to drive sales and revenue in a client-facing environment Strong leadership presence with the ability to mentor, motivate, and develop a sales team Highly organized with strong communication skills Comfortable building community relationships and representing the brand externally Prior sales management or membership sales leadership experience strongly preferred Local ties to the Long Beach community or a short commute are strongly preferred TRAINING & ONBOARDING You'll start with a formal corporate training program (three to four days, in person), followed by hands-on onboarding with the studio owner covering local systems and tools, team roles, and how Pause presents its services in the Long Beach market. Early on, the focus is entirely on four-wall sales and conversions. From there, the role expands into member relationship building and community partnerships. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Bonus: Split across three metrics: membership sales, top-line revenue, and medical service mix. Within 6 months, revenue trends are improving, community and corporate partnerships are growing, and the studio is generating stronger, more consistent lead flow. Over time, success means becoming the kind of sales leader who consistently drives revenue growth, builds lasting relationships, and needs less day-to-day involvement from ownership.
