Interventional Technologist - 3x12s (
M-F + night & weekend call

Required: BLS / ACLS required
-Manager WILL consider candidates with NO Travel and NO Trauma experience

-13 or 26 week contract available

-call as needed, rotating day off per week

-Candidates must have completed one of the following ( entry into practice) education programs :

*Associate Degree or above program in Radiologic Technology OR *2 year RCIS program ( specific program taken must be clearly noted on resume)

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, provides nursing care in one of OU Health’s specialty areas.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Manage an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to interventions and treatments.
• Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor patient physiological data and intervene as necessary.
• Administer prescribed medications and manage intravenous infusions and blood products.
• Deliver competent patient care and communicate care plans with patients and families.
• Oversee treatment provided by technicians and support staff.
• Educate patients and families on hospital procedures and discharge plans.
• Make referrals to appropriate personnel for patient care needs.
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed.

Required Education:
Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Preferred Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a board-approved program.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 6 months of hire.
