Together, we're improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Chevy Chase, MDWork Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5:30pm Friday 8:15am - 5:15pm (must be flexible); Saturdays as assignedJob Responsibilities* Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups* Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.* Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner* Process billing information and collect payments when required* Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis* Maintain patient and specimen information logs* Provide superior customer service to all patients* Administrative and clerical duties as necessary* Other Duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications* High school diploma or GED or equivalent* Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist### Preferred Qualifications* 1 year or more of phlebotomy experienceAdditional Job Standards* In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency may meet requirements* Able to pass a standardized color blindness test* Flexibility to work overtime as needed* Exceptional customer service* Strong communication skills; both written and verbal* Ability to work independently or in a team environment* Comfortable working under minimal supervision* Travel to additional site as needed, reliable transportationAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
