Qualifications & Experience

• Active RN license, with eligibility to practice in Minnesota
• Previous experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or community health settings preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage medical records with attention to detail and confidentiality
• Effective communicator with students, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
• CPR and First Aid certification (may be required)
• Flexible, compassionate, and calm in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students, including medication administration and emergency response
• Assess student health needs and collaborate on care plans for chronic and acute conditions
• Maintain accurate, confidential health records and documentation
• Act as an advocate for student health, educating staff and families on best practices
• Coordinate with teachers, counselors, and outside health professionals to optimize student outcomes
• Support communicable disease control and health promotion initiatives within the school
