Our work hours are scheduled from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility based on patient needs.

• Implement therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide targeted treatment, addressing specific mental health conditions.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including HIPAA, by maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records.

• Collaborate regularly with a team of mental health professionals in case consultations and peer review meetings, striving to continuously improve the quality of care provided to our clients.

• Educate and empower clients and their families by providing resources and information regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, thereby enhancing their understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Samaritan Behavioral Health, you will primarily work with a varied client population facing challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders. Your engagement with clients will focus on building rapport and trust, empowering them to understand their unique paths to recovery. You will be instrumental in creating and maintaining an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds, enhancing therapeutic effectiveness and fostering a sense of belonging.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• An active license to practice as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.
