Contract | Rotating Shift | 36–48 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for Emergency Department patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics
• Perform triage assessments to prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical need
• Deliver treatment interventions in accordance with established emergency nursing protocols
• Coordinate and execute discharge planning and discharge care for ED patients
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR in accordance with facility and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice
• Associate Degree (A.S.) in Nursing or equivalent required
• Minimum one year of acute care experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor (AHA or ARC)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor (AHA or ARC)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within 6 months of hire or transfer
• Current Epic experience required; Epic and Cerner experience within the last 5 years required
• Each work history entry must identify the charting system used, with dates provided if multiple EMR systems were used at a single employer

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior experience as a staff employee or successfully completed travel/contract assignment in an emergency department setting
