Material Handler III

Job TitleJob Overview:Pay Range: $13.00hr - $18.00hrRequirement/Must Have:Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to read information through warehouse computer software.Relevant work experience is preferred.Ability to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.Willingness to travel to other locations, meetings, and/or seminars as required.Responsibilities:Maintain incoming and outgoing product movement throughout the facility.Follow all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code.Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials or other stock items and distribute items to production areas.Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.Mark materials with identifying information.Open bales, crates, and other containers.Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.Weigh or count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.Use computer systems to enter records.Drive material handling equipment to transport stored items.Load and unload trailers of palletized and non-palletized product.Utilize manual and automated material handling equipment.Practice and adhere to appropriate safety and hygiene guidelines and procedures for safe housekeeping and personal protection.Contribute to division results and performance.Address internal and external customer needs and expectations.Skills:Material Handling.Warehouse Computer Software.Inventory Recording.Equipment Operation.Safety Procedures.Palletizing.Qualification And Education:5-10 years of experience.Physical Requirements(Due to nature of job, The candidate must have):Ability to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.Ability to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs on a frequent basis.Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs on an occasional basis.Ability to climb and descend stairs.Ability to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on a frequent basis.Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed.Ability to work in heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.Ability to work in areas where noise level requires hearing protection.Ability to work in environments with varying amounts of dust and dirt.Ability to work on concrete surfaces.
