Job Title: Electronics TechnicianJob Description We are seeking an experienced Electrical/Electronic Technician to join our Engineering Lab. This position involves supporting complex products and equipment through design, development, fabrication, assembly, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, rework, and repair. Responsibilities + Proficiently use electronic test equipment, machine tools, and hand tools. + Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches. + Fabricate, assemble, test, and inspect per engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions. + Conduct testing and generate report data. + Perform calibration and alignment checks. + Make equipment adjustments, modifications, reworks, and repairs. + Work effectively as part of a group or team. + Assemble electronic and mechanical equipment and components. + Assemble, rework, and repair circuit boards with surface mount and through-hole components. + Fabricate mechanical and electrical parts from sketches/drawings and prepare samples for testing. + Operate equipment necessary to fulfill these duties. + Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies. Essential Skills + Electronics + Troubleshooting + Hardware + Repair + Prototype assembly + Soldering + Minimum of an AAS Degree in Electronics or 5+ years hands-on experience + Minimum of 2+ years experience as an electronics tech doing prototype builds + Minimum of 2+ years experience soldering + Minimum of 2+ years experience in an engineering product development, test, or production environment + Electrical + Oscilloscope + PCB + Test equipment + Assembly + Circuit board Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficient use of complex fabrication equipment + Fabrication and assembly to precise tolerances and standards + Ability to understand complex engineering drawings and information + Assist engineers in the design and development of new systems and equipment + Develop and prepare schematics, design specifications, and parts lists, or make recommendations regarding these items + Review designs, specifications of test equipment, or tools for adequacy + Conduct tests or experiments requiring selection, set-up, operation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide variety of equipment + Troubleshoot electronic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems + Determine engineering/test data to be collected, extract information, and perform calculations to analyze test data + Create test procedures, conduct tests, record data, analyze data, and write reports + Trained and proficient in manufacturing & quality requirements of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-610 or have knowledge of these requirements Work Environment The position is based in an Engineering Lab. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Maple Grove, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
