A Brief Overview UH Parma Medical Center Emergency Department is a Level III Trauma Center. The ED is a 32 bed unit with 24 beds on the main side including 23 monitor beds and 2 trauma bays. The Super Track area has 8 beds run by an Advanced Practice Provider. Our ED Team is a giant family. We thrive on teamwork! If it wasn’t for teamwork, the ED would struggle getting through the day. We spend a lot of time together, both in and outside of work. Our ED likes to joke around and have fun together while caring for our patients. To maintain the nursing staff in all areas as well as to deliver safe efficient age specific nursing care to patient/families. What You Will Do Routinely provide patient care. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. Maintain employee records. Identify needs for and provide staff education and staff development. Participate in discharge planning, community resource referrals, and education. Participate in committee involvement and quality improvement initiatives. Oversee daily operations of unit/area in a cost-effective manner. Be involved in community outreach activities as pertinent. Initiate and maintain positive relationships with patients/customers and co-workers. Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment. Displays commitment to the mission and values of the organization. Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
