Respond to service and warranty calls using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools, along with a variety of hand tools and electrical testing equipment. Provide frontline technical and repair support through effective communication with Johnson Controls customers. Offer system repair and update recommendations and assist in proposing solutions to customers. Be part of an expanding team of technicians within a first-class global organization. Provide customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related items, acting as a trusted advisor with on-site solutions and outcomes. How You Will Do It Be a dedicated member of a North America Branch team, responsibly handling system trouble shooting, repair, and aftermarket services for a fast-growing business. Demonstrate electrical and electronics troubleshooting experience. Load Johnson Controls field and network-level controller software. Perform commissioning and system diagnostics for all levels of system controllers and end devices (e.g., sensors, actuators), and complete all required commissioning documentation. Keep management and JCI contractors or customers informed of job progress and issues. Calibrate systems using basic electronic test equipment. Complete administrative tasks including timesheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation. Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation. Participate in training to maintain high knowledge and capability levels. Engage with customers to understand their systems and needs. Communicate with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Follow all safety standards and maintain a high level of safety for employees and subcontractors. Provide recommendations to improve facility efficiency and identify upsell opportunities; provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions. What We Look For Required: Vocational school program or an associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field, plus three years of industry experience in servicing electrical, electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry. Understanding of HVAC systems, sequences, and applications Demonstrated technical aptitude in mechanical and electro-mechanical fields Ability to use hand and power tools and electrical testing equipment such as a multimeter Solid knowledge base in use of personal computers Attention to detail and good communication and listening skills Salary/Hiring Range: $32.69–$44.71 per hour (target).
