Supervise approximately 5-6 installers.Essential FunctionsAttends job site weekly meetingsSupervise installers each day on the job siteTool box topicsDaily reports on job sitesUse tools properly to insure safety and protect quality of doors and hardwarePrep doors to receive hardwareUndercut doors with skill saw to fit openingReport any damaged products to supervisorRemove rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapersOperate safety equipment and use safe work habitsExamine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges to ensure conformance with specificationsLay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulersMark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as requiredAnalyze drawings, sketches, work orders and material safety data sheets to plan layout and assemblyMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMust be able to lift/carry 25-50 lbs. frequentlyExperience using power tools, saws, drills etc.Industry experience with installation of building materials preferredMust pass pre-employment drug screen and background checkKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMust have strong math skills, communication skills, problem solving skillsAbility to read and interpret a tape measureAbility to determine what type of tool and equipment are needed for a jobPhysical DemandsSpends majority of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands and reaching. Frequent lifting required of items 25-50 pounds. Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware.
