Registered Nurse (Rn) – Residential Treatment Center

position summary

as a registered nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.

responsibilities

• perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
• monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status.
• maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation.
• collaborate with physicians, behavioral health professionals, therapists, and other healthcare staff.
• educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, and wellness strategies.
• ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations.
• promote a safe, therapeutic, and respectful environment for all residents.

qualifications

• active iowa registered nurse (rn) license or compact rn license eligible to practice in iowa.
• current bls certification (acls preferred, if applicable).
• previous nursing experience preferred; experience in residential care, behavioral health, mental health, substance use treatment, or long-term care is a plus.
• strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

schedule & compensation

• 12-hour shifts
• day and night shift opportunities available
• competitive pay: $45–$48 per hour
• weekly pay through nextaff
• potential for contract extensions and additional opportunities
