About the Role

Executive Council is seeking an experienced ERP/HRIS Implementation Project Manager to lead a large-scale software implementation for a public-sector client in Utah. This is a hands-on, primary PM role, where you will own the implementation from planning through go-live, working directly with the client, the software vendor, and internal stakeholders to keep the project on scope, on schedule, and on budget.

This role is ideal for a project manager who has led — not just supported — a full ERP or HRIS rollout inside a K-12 district, government agency, or comparably complex public-sector environment/agency, and who is comfortable owning vendor relationships, data migration, testing, and organizational change all at once.

Experienced ** ERP/HRIS Implementation Project Manager ** to lead a large-scale software implementation for a public-sector client in Utah. This is a **remote position with occasional onsite visits to Salt Lake County, UT when required**.

This position is pending upon contract award.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary Project Manager for a large-scale ERP/HRIS implementation, holding direct oversight of the project from kickoff through go-live and stabilization.
• Manage the ERP vendor relationship, including scope, timeline, deliverables, and issue escalation.
• Lead data migration planning and execution, including validation and reconciliation.
• Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinating stakeholders and tracking issues to resolution.
• Plan and manage end-user training and organizational change management activities.
• Coordinate closely with finance, HR/payroll, and procurement stakeholders on module rollout.
• Travel regularly to Salt Lake County to support in-person project activities.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager on ERP, HRIS, or other large-scale software implementations
• That experience must be specifically within K-12 education or a large public agency
• Direct/primary PM or implementation-oversight responsibility on prior projects (not a supporting or coordination-only role)
• Active PMP or CSM certification
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to Salt Lake County
• Demonstrated experience with ERP vendor management, data migration, UAT, training, and organizational change management

Strong Preference Given To Candidates With

• K-12 district ERP implementation experience
• Governmental fund accounting experience
• HR/payroll implementation experience
• Finance/procurement module experience
• Cloud ERP implementation experience
• Experience with integrations/APIs
• Direct experience with platforms such as PowerSchool, Tyler, Workday, Oracle, SAP, Infor, Frontline, or comparable public-sector systems.
