Orting High School, a member of the 2A SPSL, is committed to providing excellence in all of its co-curricular programs. The Orting School District is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Football Coach at Orting High School.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience preferred in coaching/participating in football
• Knowledge of volleyball techniques and strategies
• Be able to meet all W.I.A.A. requirements for the Washington State Coaching Standards
• Ability to communicate positively and effectively with students, parents, staff and community members
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational skills necessary to support running a solid high school program
• Successful experience working with teenage athletes
• Ability to motivate teens to reach their highest potential academically through sportsmanship

Minimum Qualifications:

• Be a high school graduate or have completed a graduation equivalency diploma (GED) program
• Be at least 19 years of age to be an assistant coach
• Current first aid and CPR training
• Flexible schedule
• Must be available immediately after school - 2:15 pm

• Work Start: High school dismissal is 2:15PM, M-Th and 12:45PM on F

For coaching positions, eligibility for benefits is determined by a number of factors, including the number of hours an employee worked during the last two (2) school years (September 1 through August 31). Coaching positions may not be benefit eligible. Benefits are administered through the Payroll Department. Additional information is available on their district webpage.
