Exciting Opportunity for a Musculoskeletal Radiologist in Phoenix!

We are currently seeking a Board-Certified Musculoskeletal Radiologist to join our team in Phoenix. This role combines expertise in Musculoskeletal Radiology with a general radiology skill set (no mammography required). We encourage applications from new fellows and those graduating in 2025!

The Radiology Service at our Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) provides specialized radiology services to veterans throughout central Arizona. As one of the largest clinical departments within PVAHCS, our team consists of over 130 professionals across nine specialty divisions, including:

• Staff Radiology
• Vascular and Interventional Radiology
• CT Services
• Nuclear Medicine
• Ultrasound
• Breast Imaging
• Diagnostic Radiology
• MRI Services
• Clerical Services

Each division operates with its own procedures for patient flow, scheduling, quality assurance, and compliance with regulations. Our department currently includes 24 radiologists who provide both subspecialty and general radiology coverage.

• Perform joint injections, arthrograms, and joint aspirations.
• Maintain a strong understanding of clinical radiology and the functions of various subspecialties.
• Engage in the education of radiology residents and other healthcare trainees.
• Present at various conferences, including didactics and tumor boards.
• Participate in research projects if desired (optional).

Your work will primarily take place at the Phoenix VA Health Care System Medical Center, with additional responsibilities at the 32nd St VA clinic and other locations as designated by the Department Chief.

Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• Salary: Competitive compensation package (up to $400,000 annually) plus performance bonuses and regular salary increases.
• Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP): Eligible for student loan repayment up to $200,000.
• Sign-on Bonus: Potential for highly qualified candidates.
• Paid Time Off: 50 to 55 days of annual leave, including 26 days of vacation, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and up to 5 days for CME.
• Retirement: Traditional federal pension with 5 years vesting and a federal 401k with up to 5% contributions from the organization.

• Contract: No employment contract required, allowing for flexibility in moonlighting.

• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
• Must hold a full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.
• U.S. citizenship is required; non-citizens may only be appointed when qualified citizens are unavailable.
