Production Chemist I

Location Rockford, Illinois Job Type Contract Work Hours 9 to 5 Education Bachelors Responsibilities Perform organic chemistry syntheses, reagent analysis, and testing of finished products in accordance with the manufacturing plan. Maintain an accurate inventory of raw materials, work‑in‑progress (WIP), and finished goods utilizing advanced ERP functions. Document all manufacturing and product development activities accurately using Batch Data Records, laboratory notebooks, and work order documents. Critically evaluate, revise, and create process documents to ensure efficient, reproducible, and quality manufacturing. Partner with cross‑functional teams and EH&S to troubleshoot manufacturing problems, investigate process failures, and implement appropriate experiments for corrective actions. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or an equivalent scientific discipline. Minimum 2-3 years of chemical manufacturing experience. Preferred: Master's degree in Organic Chemistry. 1-3 years of experience working with polymer chemistries. Strong technical writing, organizational, and data analysis skills.
