Job Summary:
The Operating Room Registered Nurse position is based in Santa Rosa, California. This role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within an acute care hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their valid California nursing license on the first day of assignment. The position requires a minimum of three years of recent experience in operating room nursing, including charge nurse experience, and travel experience. The shift hours are 12 hours, with variable start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. The schedule includes a minimum of 36 hours per week, and candidates must be willing to work two of the three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.

• Required Qualifications: Valid California nursing license, BLS certification, 2 years of operating room experience, 3 years of recent charge experience, travel experience required, experience with Epic charting system, willingness to float between sister facilities, and willingness to work holidays.
• Schedule: Shift hours are 12, with variable start times at 7:00 or 9:00 AM, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities, and refusal to float may affect assignment status. Vaccination for COVID-19 is not required; flu vaccination status is unknown. References must cover the last year (or 6 months for CNAs).
• Certifications: BLS required
• Experience: Two years of operating room experience, three years of charge nurse experience, and travel experience required.
• Specific Skills and Procedures: Candidates should have experience with a wide range of surgical procedures, including trauma, neuro, vascular, ortho, general, and plastics, along with familiarity with the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and other specialized equipment.
• Additional Requirements: RTO must be included at time of submission, and candidates must be willing to work two major holidays.
