Qualifications High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Minimum 5 years of documented HVAC maintenance and repair experience. Demonstrated knowledge and work history relating to HVAC system troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance procedures. Demonstrated knowledge of basic electrical concepts relating to HVAC maintenance and repair. Experience with process/production/industrial cooling systems (a plus, but not required). Experience with hot water boilers, hydronic heating systems and pumps (a plus, but not required). Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance service on various types of industrial/commercial equipment. Service includes filter changes, belt changes, lubrication, electrical checks and general inspection on equipment such as packaged roof top units, heat pumps, cooling towers, chillers, ductless split systems, fan coil/air handling units, humidifiers and exhaust/supply fans. Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair on HVAC equipment. Prepare bill of materials specific to each job. Record repair and maintenance activities within maintenance management software. Work individually most of the time but be part of a larger working group depending on the task. Use ladders, powered manlifts, scaffolds, rooftops and forklifts in daily duties. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to resolve issues in a timely manner. Possess the ability to lift 50 pounds, and 60 pounds or more with assistance. Shift is Monday through Friday; occasional overtime required, including weekend overtime for planned facility shutdowns and unplanned emergency support of the HVAC Department and/or other facility departments. Salary Range Transparency Buffalo, NY $33.00–$40.00 Hourly Salary Range. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
