Senior Site Contract Specialist

Thermo Fisher Scientific

Senior Site Contract Specialist manages contract preparation, negotiation, and finalization with clinical trial sites while liaising across internal teams. The role requires expertise in investigator agreements, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance, with potential mentoring responsibilities for junior staff.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, negotiate and finalize investigator contracts with study sites per established procedures
Assess legal, financial and operational risks; escalate issues through appropriate channels
Coordinate with internal departments to align site startup activities with contractual timelines and activation critical paths
Mentor junior staff and provide training on investigator contracts and global processes
Complete tracking, reporting and quality reviews; represent site contracts in process improvement initiatives

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification
5+ years experience in contract management or related field
Detailed knowledge of contract law and investigator grant budget negotiation
Fluency in English and local language; strong written and verbal communication
Understanding of pharmaceutical development processes and CRO involvement
Proficiency with automated systems and contract management software
