FSP Principal Contract Specialist

Principal Site Contract Specialist role leading contract preparation, negotiation, and finalization with clinical research sites. The position involves managing complex contracts, mentoring junior staff, and serving as a subject matter expert for contract processes and training.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and finalize clinical site agreements within approved parameters
• Identify and assess legal, financial, and operational risks; escalate appropriately and recommend resolutions
• Coordinate with internal departments to align site startup and contract activities with critical activation timelines
• Train and mentor junior contract specialists; develop and manage training plans and content for local teams
• Represent global site contract activities in country team meetings and drive process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent formal academic/vocational qualification
• 8+ years of experience in contract management or related field
• Mastery-level understanding of contract law principles and investigator grant budgets
• Fluent English and local language communication skills, verbal and written
• Demonstrated ability to independently train, mentor staff, and provide feedback
• Expert-level contract negotiation and risk assessment capabilities
