Job Description

This role supports multiple warehouse departments, including receiving, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping. You will handle equipment such as modems, routers, and cable boxes, using pallet jacks, RF scanners, and tablets to ensure accurate processing and movement of products. You will work in a clean, climate-controlled environment and follow clear work instructions, production targets, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Unload trailers using pallet jacks or carts in the receiving area.
• Sort incoming equipment such as modems, routers, and cable boxes by type and destination.
• Scan barcodes using handheld RF scanners to log incoming and outgoing products.
• Ensure accurate logging and verification of product serial numbers in the system.
• Use tablets or iPads to identify pick locations and required quantities for orders.
• Pick items from designated locations based on digital instructions and RF scanner prompts.
• Pack tested and approved products into boxes using appropriate packing materials.
• Label packages accurately for outbound shipping and ensure they are ready for dispatch.
• Follow detailed work instructions and meet established production targets.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work station and surrounding area.
• Comply with all safety standards, security procedures, and company policies at all times.
• Adapt to working in different warehouse departments as operational needs require.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in order picking and shipping and receiving roles.
• Ability to follow written and digital work instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail when logging serial numbers and labeling products.
• Comfort working under production targets while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Willingness to adhere to strict security and device policies in the facility.

Work Environment

The facility is climate controlled, very clean, and well organized, providing a comfortable and orderly work setting. You will stand for the entire shift, as this role does not involve sit-down tasks. The operation relies on technology such as RF scanners, laptops, and iPads, with interfaces available in both English and Spanish. The dress code aligns with a strict security policy, including a 'No Beep Policy' requiring that clothing and accessories do not trigger metal detectors; items that cause the detector to alarm are not permitted. Personal cell phones are not allowed on the floor, so you must be comfortable working without your phone for extended periods. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlestown, IN.

The pay range for this position is $16.36 - $18.81/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
