About This Role

Culinary professionals prepare nutritious meals in high-volume settings.

• Inspect and maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Coordinate meal preparation and service for large groups.
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established menus and nutritional guidelines.
• Tackle food preparation tasks including butchering, cooking, and serving.
• Manage inventory and compliance with government regulations regarding food commodities.
• Ensure all kitchen utensils and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Accurately track food usage and expenses.
• Oversee a team of kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
• Regularly assess inventory levels to ensure timely reordering of supplies.
• Evaluate menu options and expenses to optimize food preparation and service.
• Develop creative and nutritious menus that utilize seasonal ingredients and local sources.
• Procure necessary food supplies, equipment, and appliances based on predicted demand.
• Establish meal pricing based on ingredient costs and operational considerations.

• Must pass criminal background check.
• Must have High School Diploma
• Must have some experience in food preparation.
• Must have experience working in a commercial kitchen operated by gas.
• ServSafe Manager Certified
• Microsoft Excel
