Assistant Nurse Manager - Operating Room

Role Overview This position is for an Assistant Nurse Manager in a high-volume, Level One Trauma Center, responsible for overseeing perioperative nursing services in a busy surgical environment. The role involves managing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, disciplinary actions, and conducting performance reviews. The manager will coordinate patient care plans, ensure compliance with policies, and support departmental operational and financial goals. Responsibilities also include managing 30 direct reports, overseeing staff productivity, and participating in budget development. Prior leadership experience in OR settings is preferred, with a background in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery advantageous. The role demands strong clinical judgment, team management skills, and the ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, RN licensure, and 2-5 years of experience are required, with additional experience and supervisory background preferred.
