• Start Date: June 15, 2026
• End Date: September 13, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 12-hour Day/Night shifts (rotating)
• Openings: 3 Oncology RN positions available
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360 - $2,480 (competitive travel nurse pay)

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of Ohio or compact RN license applicable)
• At least 1 year recent clinical experience in Oncology or Step Down/Progressive Care
• Step Down experience highly preferred - experience with progressive care units
• Chemotherapy administration experience and competency in oncology medication safety
• Proficiency interpreting cardiac arrhythmias and advanced cardiac monitoring
• Experience with advanced respiratory care: trachs, chest tubes, Airvo, CPAP/BiPAP
• ACLS certification preferred; BLS required
• Oncology certification (ONS) or chemo/biotherapy certification preferred
• Ability to identify rapidly changing patient conditions, multitask, and prioritize in critical situations
• Experience with end-of-life care/hospice is a plus
• Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
• Completion of all required onboarding health and competency screenings

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to oncology patients in a step-down setting
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments; recognize and manage adverse reactions and side effects
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret arrhythmias, and respond to acute changes in patient status
• Provide advanced respiratory support including trach and chest tube management and non-invasive ventilation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (oncology physicians, pharmacists, respiratory therapy, palliative care) to coordinate complex care
• Support patients and families through end-of-life, hospice, and transitional care planning as needed
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient education in the electronic medical record
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, oncology safety standards, and infection control practices
