Job Description

This role supports a high-tech, temperature-controlled warehouse by performing a variety of material handling, picking, packing, and receiving activities. You will be cross-trained across multiple functions, including order picking, packaging, quality control, and receiving, with minimal equipment use and a strong emphasis on accuracy, technology, and attention to detail. Positions are available on both 1st and 2nd shift, with occasional Saturday work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pick, break down, and quality-check orders accurately and in a timely manner to support production and direct-to-customer shipments.

• Verify materials received against purchase requisitions to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Receive products from vendors and ensure they are processed in a timely and accurate manner.

• Operate a stand-up reach truck and other class 5 forklifts in accordance with OSHA requirements, when needed.

• Prepare skids for freight shipments, including wrapping and strapping pallets securely.

• Stock bins and shelves with parts from receiving carts, the receiving area, and return-to-stock shelves.

• Package systems and parts for shipment and perform quality control checks prior to shipping.

• Check in returned materials, including RMAs (Return Material Authorizations) and RTVs (Return to Vendor).

• Report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping purposes.

• Complete semi-annual physical inventories and weekly cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.

• Use RF scanners, computers, and Chromebooks to manage orders, print labels, and update inventory data.

• Read and interpret very small printed labels to ensure correct item identification and order accuracy.

• Contribute ideas and participate actively in monthly team meetings.

• Work occasional Saturdays, including the last Saturday of the month, as required by business needs.

Essential Skills

• 1 to 3 years of warehouse experience.

• 1 to 3 years of RF scanner experience.

• 1 to 3 years of picking experience.

• Strong computer skills, including the ability to use a computer and navigate a web browser from day one.

• Ability to use an RF scanner effectively from the first day.

• Comfort reading very small printed labels with a high level of accuracy.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly as needed.

• Ability to read and write in English to follow instructions, labels, and documentation.

• Willingness and desire to work occasional Saturdays if needed.

• Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality and accuracy.

• Comfort working with technology and digital tools in a high-tech environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse for a computer or electronics company.

• Passion for computers, technology, and working in a digital-focused environment.

• Experience with material handling, shipping, receiving, inventory, and quality control processes.

• Familiarity with using Chromebooks or similar devices for order management and label printing.

• Ability to operate a stand-up reach truck and other class 5 forklifts in compliance with OSHA standards.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a clean, structured environment.

Work Environment

The facility focuses on building different types of computers and servers for a wide range of customers and operates as a high-technology, temperature-controlled, and extremely clean environment. The warehouse is very organized and designed for efficient, technology-driven workflows using RF scanners, computers, and Chromebooks. Both 1st shift (7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and 2nd shift (3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.) are available, with potential required Saturday work, including the last Saturday of the month, depending on business needs. The culture is relaxed and employee-friendly: team members can wear whatever attire they feel comfortable in and may wear headphones during their shift. A large cafeteria offers free healthy snacks and drinks, along with a foosball table, other recreational activities, and a large TV available during breaks. This is a Permanent position based out of Libertyville, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
