Physical Therapist Assistant

In Coral Gables, Kendall & Homestead, Palace Nursing Home & Rehab Center is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant for its facility located at 11215 SW 84th Street Miami, FL 33173. Joint Commission Accredited, 2015.

The #1 priority of this position is to provide physical therapy as prescribed by a physician, which can be safely provided in the facility and assisting the physician in evaluating patients by applying diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint and functional abilities tests.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Assisting physical therapists in carrying out the selected program and procedures.
• Performing routine treatment procedures in accordance with the planned program.
• Responsible for record keeping procedures and charting, ensuring confidentiality of all records.
• Communicating with patient's physician and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

• Currently licensed in the State of Florida with at least one year of experience under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Must have an associate degree in Physical Therapy or graduated from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Spanish preferred.
• Able to operate the necessary equipment.
• Have supervision and management skills.
• Must possess adequate ability to calculate necessary percentages for required documentation.
