About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 16-week contract assignment in Fort Defiance, Arizona. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing skills and the ability to provide prompt, high-quality care to patients with urgent and critical medical conditions.

This role requires clinical expertise, sound judgment, and flexibility to work alternate shifts when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries.

• Provide emergency nursing interventions and monitor patient conditions.

• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and clinical protocols.

• Recognize changes in patient status and respond appropriately to emergencies.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Maintain accurate patient records and follow emergency department policies.

• Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge instructions.

• Support safe, efficient patient flow in a fast-paced emergency department.

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience.

• Appropriate Arizona RN license or authorization to practice in Arizona.

• Current ACLS certification.

• Current BLS/BCLS certification.

• Current PALS certification.

• Current TNCC certification.

• Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

• Flexibility to work alternate shifts as required.

Assignment Details

• Contract: 16 weeks

• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM

• Weekly Hours: 36 hours listed as guaranteed

• Schedule Flexibility: Must be available for other shifts as needed.

• Holiday Coverage: Required.

• On-Call Pager Pay: Listed at $3.25 per hour; applicable terms should be confirmed.

• Call-Back: Two-hour minimum; compensation terms should be confirmed.

• Overtime: Begins after 48 hours per week, according to the job order.
