Why Join Us: Position with opportunity to lead and improve Risk, Compliance, Information Security, BSA and CRA programs, leading an established team of experienced professionals Financially stable business with year-on-year growth for the previous eight years Culture built on valuing and empowerment and achieving goals through a superior customer experience Responsibilities: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Risk Officer is responsible for the efficient and effective governance of risks and is also responsible for the development and monitoring of the Enterprise Risk Management Program Partner with the business leadership team to identify and consider relevant risks in the development of the strategic vision and promote the balance of both the risk and rewards of the business Implement appropriate/meaningful risk reporting to senior management and board of directors (entity level internal control risk assessment, quarterly risk assessment, key risk indicators, emerging risks, etc.) Develop and implement the bank’s enterprise-wide risk management framework, ensuring alignment with the bank’s business strategy, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite Provide support and guidance regarding enterprise risk management strategy, initiative, training, risk management activities, policies, procedures, process, and reporting Oversee compliance with consumer protection laws and regulations, including the Dodd-Frank Act and other relevant statutes, while ensuring adherence to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements, including anti-money laundering (AML) measures, and monitoring compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Develop and maintain robust information security policies and procedures to protect customer data and prevent cyber threats, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to information security and cybersecurity Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential risks to the bank’s operations, financial performance, and reputation, and develop and implement strategies to mitigate and manage identified risks Collaborate in the development of and communication of the use of appropriate risk management methodologies, tools and techniques (internal control documentation, risk policies and procedures, risk assessments, training, etc.) in collaboration with the CFO Provide regular reports on the bank’s risk profile and risk management practices to the CEO, Board of Directors, and regulators, serving as a liaison for the risk committee and other relevant committees Coordinate with Chief Financial Officer in the continued compliance with FDICIA Ensure all areas of the bank receive sufficient education, training, testing and monitoring to ensure compliance with BSA and Consumer Compliance laws and regulations Operational risk management, including fraud prevention, business continuity planning, and crisis management Oversees Information Security and Vendor Management through direct report: SVP, Information Security/Information Security Officer Collaborates with CFO and interfaces with bank regulators as the Bank’s contact person for regulatory examinations; responsible for responding to and following up on any examination findings; reports to senior management and board of directors on progress of remediation activities Continuously monitors and improves risk management practices to align with best practices and emerging risks Requirements: Essential Education: Bachelor’s degree You must have significant banking risk and compliance experience, including leading teams and demonstrating strategic leadership Your exposure must include consumer / community banking Application Process for Chief Risk Officer: Qualified professionals should submit their resume to Steve Harrison: View email address on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr Conselium Executive Search
