Overview
Registered Nurse – Med/Surg (Travel) in Templeton, California. Start date 08/03/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay: $1,943–$2,087, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Night shift, 3×12-hour shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. In a Short Term Acute Care Hospital inpatient unit, care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with a range of medical and surgical needs.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations; perform assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications and IV therapies, manage indwelling catheters/drains, and operate routine medical equipment (glucose meters, IV pumps, PCA) as routinely used in Med/Surg.
- Initiate and adjust multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans in collaboration with the health care team; delegate tasks to ancillary staff commensurate with scope of practice.
- Competent in epidural management, care of acute post-op wounds, sterile technique, and assessment of vascular patency.
- Educate patients and families regarding plan of care; engage in age-appropriate discharge planning and teaching.

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California) – required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor – required
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience: At least two years of recent nursing experience; Med/Surg experience preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital Med/Surg setting; night shift availability; effective communication with a multidisciplinary team
