Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled, compassionate Physical Therapist to join our clinical team and help patients recover from orthopedic injuries and surgeries, return to the activities they love, and feel genuinely cared for along the way. You'll evaluate and treat a caseload of outpatient orthopedic patients — post-surgical recoveries, neck and low back pain, and sports-related injuries across a range of ages — in a clinic where clinicians are supported rather than buried in administrative overhead.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Practice

●        Evaluate and treat a caseload of outpatient orthopedic patients, including post-surgical rehabilitation, neck and low back pain, and sports and overuse injuries across adolescent through older-adult populations.

●        Develop individualized plans of care, set functional goals with patients, and adjust treatment based on progress and clinical judgment.

●        Deliver hands-on, evidence-based orthopedic care consistent with current best practice and each patient's goals.

●        Communicate clearly with patients about their diagnosis, plan of care, and progress, so they feel informed and cared for at every visit.

Documentation & Compliance

●        Complete timely, accurate documentation in Strata PT, including evaluations, daily notes, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

●        Maintain compliance with Florida physical therapy practice standards, HIPAA, and payer documentation requirements.

●        Obtain and document appropriate physician certification and communicate with referring providers as needed.

Team Collaboration

●        Work closely with the practice's physical therapist assistants, providing appropriate clinical direction and supervision consistent with Florida PTA supervision requirements.

●        Partner with the front desk and administrative team to keep scheduling, patient flow, and the day-to-day clinic experience running smoothly.

●        Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative, close-knit clinical culture.

Productivity & Practice Growth

●        Manage a caseload that meets the clinic's productivity expectations while maintaining quality of care.

●        Help identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes, clinic efficiency, and the overall patient experience.

●        Support relationship-building with referring physicians and the local community as opportunities arise.

Professional Development

●        Maintain Florida PT licensure and required continuing education.

●        Stay current on orthopedic best practices and bring new ideas back to the team.

Qualifications

Required

Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program (PT credential with appropriate licensure eligibility).

●        Active Florida Physical Therapist license, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date.

●        Strong clinical foundation in orthopedic evaluation and treatment; new graduates with solid orthopedic clinical rotations are welcome to apply.

●        Comfort with — or willingness to fully adopt — the clinic's EMR (Strata PT) for evaluations, documentation, and scheduling.

●        Strong communication skills, warmth with patients, and the ability to work well within a small, close-knit team.

●        Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before start date).

Preferred

●        Prior experience in outpatient orthopedics, post-surgical rehabilitation, or sports medicine.

●        Experience directing and supervising physical therapist assistants.

●        Orthopedic clinical certification (e.g., OCS) or manual therapy training — a plus, not required.

●        Direct experience with Strata PT or a comparable outpatient PT EMR.
