How You Will Make An Impact:

• Establish and evolve the global Medical Affairs strategy for a respiratory indication, ensuring alignment with broader franchise and organizational priorities.
• Translate medical strategy into actionable medical plans with clearly defined milestones supporting launch readiness.
• Represent Medical Affairs within cross-functional teams spanning Clinical Development, Operations, HEOR, Commercial, Finance, and regional organizations.
• Develop an integrated evidence-generation strategy by identifying data gaps and helping shape future data-generation plans.
• Build and maintain relationships with external experts and thought leaders to gather scientific insights and support indication planning.
• Create a comprehensive thought leader engagement strategy and corresponding execution plan.
• Review scientific publications and contribute to medical backgrounders, frequently asked questions, standard response documents, and internal training materials.
• Partner with regional and functional stakeholders to develop annual medical activity plans and manage associated budgets.
• Identify innovative Medical Affairs approaches and incorporate relevant best practices into strategies, plans, and operational processes.
• Promote consistent planning standards, operational excellence, and cross-regional coordination across the respiratory franchise.
• Ensure all Medical Affairs activities comply with applicable policies, standards, and regulatory expectations.

Do You Have the Expertise to Lead Global Respiratory Medical Affairs Strategy?

• Medical degree required.
• At least six years of Medical Affairs experience, with substantial experience operating at a strategic or leadership level.
• Direct pulmonology or respiratory therapeutic-area experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of Medical Affairs strategy, planning, evidence generation, scientific communications, and cross-functional execution.
• Previous experience supporting product launch planning is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative Medical Affairs approaches.
• Experience serving as the Medical Affairs representative within multidisciplinary or cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to lead through influence in a complex matrix organization.
• Previous Medical Affairs leadership experience, including responsibility for strategy, planning, or major programs.
• Global experience or experience supporting multiple regions, including the United States, is preferred.
• Experience developing data-generation strategies, conducting evidence-gap assessments, and aligning evidence plans across stakeholders.
• Familiarity with publication review, medical content development, internal scientific training, and thought leader engagement.
• Experience supporting annual planning and managing Medical Affairs budgets.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to connect scientific, operational, regional, and commercial considerations.
• Demonstrated success driving change, improving processes, and establishing planning standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly collaborative, detail-oriented, independent, and comfortable solving complex problems.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
