We are searching for a Project Accountant / Construction Billing Coordinator to provide onsite support for a growing commercial construction subcontractor in Las Vegas. The project accountant will support the financial and administrative functions of a major development on the Las Vegas Strip, with a heavy focus on AIA billing, contract administration, compliance tracking, change order management and documentation, retention, and project reporting. This position pays $70k, is bonus eligible, and participates in the client's profit sharing plan. Health, dental, and vision insurance are provided at no cost to the employee.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly progress billings and owner pay applications.
• Assist with AIA billing documentation and Schedule of Values administration.
• Track contract values, change orders, retention, and project financial status.
• Maintain subcontractor compliance and insurance documentation.
• Support lien waiver, release, and closeout documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Managers regarding project costs and billing activities.
• Maintain organized project records and document control systems.
• Assist with job cost reporting and project accounting support.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate's degree in accounting, business administration, or similar field is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in construction accounting, project accounting, construction billing, accounts receivable, contract administration, or project coordination.
• Experience with AIA billings, progress billings, retention, and change order tracking is required.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Procore, Sage, Viewpoint, Foundation, or similar systems preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
