Roles & Responsibilities:

The Residential Glazing, Window & Shower Estimator is a primary sales role at The Glass Guru of Roseville. This position combines customer service, product knowledge, accurate measuring, and sales follow-through to help customers choose the right solutions for their homes.

The Estimator position is the primary sales role at The Glass Guru. This position combines customer service, product knowledge, accurate measuring, and sales follow-through to help customers choose the right solutions for their homes. Delivering the best customer experience.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Meet with customers in their homes or the showroom to understand their needs, answer questions, and recommend appropriate products and services.
• Build customer confidence by clearly explaining available options, the proposed scope of work, pricing, and next steps.
• Set realistic expectations regarding product performance, lead times, installation, and project limitations.
• Take accurate measurements and document site conditions needed for estimating, ordering, and installation.
• Prepare clear, accurate shop drawings when required.
• Prepare and present professional, accurate estimates promptly, reviewing the proposed work with customers in the home whenever possible.
• Document relevant job details, photos, measurements, customer preferences, and access considerations to help prevent delays and installation issues.
• Effectively communicate job and customer details to other team members, including front office, General Manager and Install Technicians to facilitate success.
• Keep customer records, estimates, notes, and sales statuses current in the company’s sales software.
• Follow up consistently according to company guidelines on outstanding estimates, answer customer questions, and help customers move forward with their projects.
• Follow up after installation to confirm customer satisfaction and communicate any concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Generate new business through networking, referrals, community events, outreach, including, but not limited to home shows, B2B networking, cold-calling, etc.
• Participate in team & safety meetings and ongoing training to strengthen product knowledge, estimating accuracy, and sales skills.
• Follow company procedures and represent The Glass Guru professionally in appearance, communication, and conduct.
• Document relevant details into company sales software in a timely manner
• Proactively communicate with company vendors, including ordering of materials required for sold jobs
• Promptly follow up with customers post-installation to ensure that they are satisfied with the materials, workmanship, and service that the customer received.
• Self-generate leads through effective promotion of company products and services to potential customers through a variety of means including, but not limited to home shows, B2B networking, cold-calling, etc.

Qualifications & Educational Requirements:

• 2 years residential glass experience (glazing, ordering, estimating, and/or office/project management)
• In-home sales experience preferred
• HS Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills:

• Excellent verbal/written communications skills
• Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel)
• Experience with estimating, fabricating, and/or installing residential glass products
• Hardworking, motivated, with excellent organizational and time-management skills
